About Me
- Name: Lisa Fox
- Location: Jefferson City, Missouri, United States
I'm a progressive Episcopalian raised in the South and now (thanks to a job change) living in the conservative Midwest. I worship at Grace Episcopal Church in Jefferson City. I love the Episcopal Church, which rescued me from a life of wandering meaningless and gave me a way to explore my faith and belief in God. On any given topic, I am prone to yammer-on way too long. Sometimes I ponder way more than I should. A blog-friend said that I demonstrate a "muscled love for our Church." I hope I can live up to that. And right now I'm pondering Blogger's challenge to define myself in 1200 characters.

Our cats would have the red representing food and naps. I don't think we disappoint them - as they don't do much future or past thinking -- it is all in the now. An example - what you don't feed me at 4 in the afternoon?
Bwahahaha!!!
Mine would have a far bigger proportion of "I can haz cheezburger?" in their pie..but..otherwise, yeah..totally!
I think my two would say I love you a little more often, since they seem to think we're BFFs. But we are not good enough BFFs for them to wake me up at 5:30 on a Monday morning, like the calico did today.
Ann, I think my cats would fill in the red with "You don't spend enough time taking naps with me." I don't think they actually find me disappointing. But I thought the graph was funny.
LOL, Eileen. So your cats really do want cheeseburger?
8th Sacrament, I can relate! My newest adoptee seems to think 6 a.m. is a great hour to start the nursing thing with me. I am not amused!
My two boys would probably have a larger "i can has cheezburger" slice, but the disappointed thing is, I think, accurate otherwise.
I'm constantly given a look that says, "I can't understand how your eating/sleeping/dressing/bandaging that profusely-bleeding wound is more important than spending the next several hours petting me, but, as long as you're happy."
Oh, Mark -- yes! I remember when I had a major accident a while back, and my cats seemed ambivalent about comforting me vs. wondering why I wasn't more focused on them. So, yeah, I get it!
Thanks for the laugh!
Our boarders--well, the nice one-- would be mostly more food, more naps, and play time & belly rubs. He's a pretty happy cat, so i don't think he's TOO disappointed in us. Except by food.
The other one, Mr Thunderpaws-crazy-run-around, hears voices or something, I don't have an idea WHAT he is thinking.
It occurs to me that - at least where two male cats living together are concerned - a large slice would be devoted to "LET'S GET READY TO RUUUMBLE!!!!"
LOL, IT. I love your "Mr. Thunderpaws" name.
Mark, it's not just two male cats. I recently introduced a young female cat into the household, and she seems always Ready to Rumble with the slightly-older cat. The OLD male just watches from his distant vantage point.
Our two guys do engage in a certain amount of ear-washing and grappling of an evening. being irreverant lesbians, we refer to it as "homo-erotic cat wrestling". But most of the time they ignore each other and sleep.
Mr Thunderpaws is one of my nicknames for the Psycho-kitty. he's frankly rather mad. His real name is Nani. But right now he's snoozing next to me so even a mad cat can calm down at times.
Mine to, too, IT. They wrestle, and then they snuggle together. Hard to figure.
