Olbermann on Marriage
I've only recently started watching Keith Olbermann (MSNBC). But here he says it all on Prop 8 and all the "Christian" haters. It's long -- a bit over 6 minutes. But you'll enjoy it, I think.
He speaks with a passion that I envy. He doesn't have any "skin in this game." He's not gay. As far as I can tell, he's not even Christian. But he does understand the U.S. Constitution, and his words to the U.S. and to those who claim to be Christian are very powerful to me.
I commend this to you.

We have it at Friends of Jake and I have it on my blog - great minds!
My "Deep Thought" response is over at Friend-of-Jake's.
As much as I luvs me my Keith, I wonder if he's really going to reach those who need reaching (i.e., Pro-H8ers DO think they're fulfilling the Golden Rule. Sigh.)
I keep putting the same comment up - but it just works... this was Keith's finest hour.
Yes, I see this clip is sweeping thru the blogosphere. I spotted it over at AmericaBlog. Didn't realize so many others had already posted it.
I saw your comment over at Friends of Jake, JCF. It's a condundrum. Even if the Pro-H8ers won't hear what Olbermann said, it does hearten those of us who need strength for the journey.
Amen, Fran.
Like I said at Ann's, I was so totally stunned by how wonderful this was. I was struck by his incredible passion. This is just amazing.
Amen, Lauralew. I just watched it again. And again I was blown away. Would that one of our bishops were as passionate.
Rallies on Sat in Missouri, Lisa, and across the country.

I'm grateful for the link, IT. I did what I could personally to tell my St. Louis friends about it. I could not be there. It's 2.5 hours and a tank of gas away, and I am on the last ounce of my personal, emotional reservoir. I desperately needed a weekend at home. I hope others went to the St. Louis protest, and I will link to blogs as a I find them.
Call me a weenie. But I could not make another roadtrip this weekend. I am hanging on by a thread, emotionally and in terms of energy.
No prob, Lisa. I think a lot of people are completely drained now. Grandmere Mimi is taking a blog sabbatical herself.
We all need to regroup, refocus, and recharge.
