Links Alive

When my blog seemed to crash a while back, I lost all the links. They're back now, and featuring a whole new category: blogs that make me laugh, particularly those devoted to the Anglican tradition. Check 'em out over on the sidebar.

Hi Lisa,

How on earth did you come across the Diocese of Wenchoster site? What a treasure. I fwd'ed the organ specifications to our own organist. I only hope he read it before his hernia surgery today - the stitches would never hold!

And please stop demurring about your verbal skills, Acolyte to the Order of St. Verbosa. If you were any more "passionate and articulate" I think I would faint!

AND, I wish I could forward you the sermon our Fr. Shemayev preached on the passage from Ephesians you read - you would be begging to read that passage in the future.

Thanks for all the great work you are doing.

You're too darn kind, Flutegirl, but thanks.

Long story (as befits a Verbosian) about the Wenchoster site. A couple years ago, our parish asked me to give an Adult Ed forum on the names/significance of things that we use in our liturgy, since I seem forever to be throwing around terms that even many cradle Episcopalians don't know. My rector titled the program "Whatchamacallit." [Incidentally, response was so great they're asking me to do it again next month!] Well, I thought I knew a lot, but there were gaps so I was Googling all over the universe to find abstruse info. That's when I found several of those Anglo-Catholic sites in the "humor" section.

Be sure to read The Complete Guide to Shrove Tuesday too!
